Why is it risky?
Amaryllis contains lycorine and related alkaloids, concentrated most heavily in the bulb. Bulb ingestion causes more severe symptoms than leaves or flowers.

Vomiting, drooling, lethargy, loss of appetite; tremors and low blood pressure if the bulb is eaten in quantity.
What To Do
Remove the plant from reach; call a vet if symptoms develop or if the bulb was chewed.
