Why is it risky?
Cats metabolize salicylates extremely slowly due to their limited glucuronidation capacity, causing the drug to accumulate to toxic levels even at doses considered mild for humans or dogs.

Symptoms
Vomiting (sometimes bloody), loss of appetite, lethargy, rapid breathing, weakness. With repeated/chronic dosing: liver damage.
What To Do
Contact a vet immediately, even for a single tablet. Never give aspirin without explicit veterinary direction and dosing.
